Hospital Adventiste d'Haiti began in the mid 1970s as a mission project by Loma Linda University graduates. Since its inception, it has slowly grown into a cornerstone of care in Port de Prince and the epicenter of orthopedic surgery for the island.

Loma Linda University Health has played an active role in bringing high-quality care to the people of Port de Prince regardless of economic background. After the devastating 2010 earthquake, the hospital, with help from its partners, was able to remodel the operating rooms, clinical laboratories and the emergency department. The next step is to bring a quality outpatient clinic to the people of Haiti.

With the future of the hospital in mind, a master plan has been created that will help dictate all future projects, helping not only to build more facilities but also to identify underlying needs such as increased water and sewage capacity.

The class of 2018 is excited to partner with Adventist Health International and Hospital Adventiste d'Haiti to assist with the funding of an outpatient clinic that will go beyond treating medical emergencies; enabling the transition to primary and preventative care. This is central to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Loma Linda University's mission to "make man whole," remembering that by helping meet the needs of others we are given the opportunity to witness them in the same way Jesus Christ did.

For this reason, our goal is not only to privide financial support, but to inspire long-term relationships with Hospital Adventiste d'Haiti.

We hope you will join us.
