Pathologists’ Assistant Program Accreditation
UPDATE: In April, 2017, the Self-Study for the accreditation of the Pathologists’ Assistant Program was submitted to NAACLS. Shortly thereafter, we received notification of achieving “Serious Applicant” status. Our students are now eligible to take the national ASCP certification exam!
The accreditation process continues through this year. Our site visit will be scheduled in the Fall. Following final review of the program, NAACLS could grant full accreditation in early 2018.
NAACLS is the premier accreditation for Pathologists’ Assistant programs. Strict standards required for this accreditation ensure a quality education and preparation for the certification examination and competence in the field as a Pathologists’ Assistant. The Loma Linda University School of Medicine Pathologists’ Assistant program will adhere to those standards to produce high quality and competent Pathologists’ Assistants.
