      Promotions

The Office of Faculty Development is dedicated to the professional and personal growth of the School of Medicine faculty. We have compiled a number of resources to guide your development at Loma Linda University.

General guidelines regarding promotions:  Download and fully complete the promotion packet.  The handbook navigation guide will have greater detail on tracks, requirements and other information that is helpful. If you are promoting to Professor, any letters of recommendation must originate from the Office of Faculty Development, as a formal request letter is mailed to your desired contacts.  Please provide the Office of Faculty Development each desired contact's name, degrees, mailing address and email address. Your contacts must also hold the rank of Professor, cannot be from LLU and preferably come from your department.  Three letters must be obtained to complete this portion.  For submission of the packet, please begin by working with your departmental administrative assistant.  They will help with this process and will provide the Office of Faculty Development the original promotion packet, a hard copy and an electronic version upon completion.
