Loma Linda University School of Medicine’s Epsilon chapter of California hosted the Alpha Omega Alpha Annual Banquet on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Thirty-four members of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine class of 2023, four faculty members, twenty-seven resident physicians and an alumnus were inducted into membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society.
The program featured a welcome from Tamara Thomas, MD, dean of Loma Linda University School of Medicine. A special presentation, "Maximizing Knowledge of Self to Navigate Uncertainty," was conducted by Alan Friedman, Founder and CEO, J3P Healthcare Solutions.
Election to Alpha Omega Alpha is an honor signifying a lasting commitment to professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research, and community service. A lifelong honor, membership in the society confers recognition for a physician’s dedication to the profession and art of healing. More than 4,000 students, residents/fellows, faculty, and alumni are elected each year into the Alpha Omega Alpha since its founding in 1902, and nearly 200,000 members have been elected to the society.
