The Walter E. Macpherson Society recognizes faculty and students through a variety of awards.
- The Summer Research Awards are available to only Loma Linda University School of Medicine sophomore, junior, and senior students who completed research work with a faculty member at Loma Linda University which led to publication or has been accepted for publication in a scientific journal.
- Honoring faculty with the Teacher of the Year Award who have demonstrated truly outstanding teaching talent and exceptional dedication to teaching.
