What will I be doing in the program?
You will be participating on a full-time basis in a majority activities for biomedical, public health, or behavioral health including:
- Research
- Workshops
- Seminars
- Analytic discussions
- Other activities.
Do I have to participate in an interview?
No, only the high school students are required to participate in an interview for a Summer Health Disparities Research internship position.
When does the program start?
Orientation day is scheduled in June. Additional orientation dates will be provided prior to applications for the following year.
When does the program end?
The program ended in August 2015. The CHDMM hosts the annual Summer Health Disparities Research. All students are required to present a scientific poster for the event.

Will I be paid?
Yes. You participation in the program will be compensated. You will be receiving bi-weekly paychecks from the Center for Health Disparities and Molecular Medicine.
What if I can't commit for the whole 8 weeks?
We would like you to kindly inform us about it and if no other arrangements can be made to accommodate full commitment to the program we recommend the withdrawal of your application. We want all the prospective students to be fully committed to their involvement in the Summer Health Disparities Research program.
