The Lawrence D. Longo, MD, Center for Perinatal Biology was founded by Dr. Lawrence Longo more than three decades ago. Under his leadership we have become one of the world's leading research groups in the field of maternal and developmental physiology.

The Center has developed several Core Laboratories that serve investigators throughout the University. These include Core Laboratories for: Physiology and Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Advanced Imaging and Microscopy, and Microsurgery.
